Movie Poster
Sadly, My jpg of my final movie poster was too big to upload so I had to post a picture I took. I liked the revision of my poster more than my original idea, imagine that.
pattern project
Once I got the pattern swatch printed on fabric I decided to make a cute little bag. I enjoyed deciding what to make exactly and in addition it was cool making the pattern.
In addition to using the fabric printed with my own design WHICH WAS AWESOME!
I found the matching color lining.
Totally awesome :)

Pattern Swatch
Our Next assignment was to create a pattern swatch that could be used as a fill. I wanted to do something whimsical and I loved the little mushroom guys I used in my 1st project.
We also got a chance to use Spoonflower and get our swatch printed on a yard of fabric!
This was very exciting and here is my swatch!

So far
I had my character finished Tuesday and printed but my shadow for my flower came out too light. I also added another flower in the corner but my prof. suggested adding a shadow. I needed to add a few minor details but this is what I have so far.

Crazy Petals
I have been trying different tools to create some petals for my flower character. So far things have looked kind of strange. Although it is the look I am going for I don't like the way some of them look. My favorites so far have been the ones I created using the pathfinder unite tool.

Sketches
I have made some doodles just to get down my ideas for my character out. I am happy with the range of emotions. I think they are kind of cute and scary at the same time.

Artist A Day
Browsing through the Artist A Day website I was drawn to the piercing eyes in these illustrations by Bec Winnel. The eyes looked incredibly life-like and seemed as though they had dimension. These porcelain faces have subtle expressions at first glance but with further examination their eyes hold deep and puzzling emotions. At first I thought they looked kind of lost but once I really studied them, these women looked serene and confident. I believe what pulled me to this artist is the fact I am a fashion design student. I am constantly trying to achieve certain facial expressions in my fashion illustrations and this artist gave me a source of inspiration.
